Eight Lives

A white cloth doll, drawn on by a child, washed and drawn on again and rewashed over eight times. The rag doll charts the different stages and drawing ability of a girl between the age of two and four to depict human features and clothing and gradually shows her awareness of her gender. A selection from a series of eight colour prints.
